Every so often I have a desire to change out my palette. And with the last several posts being paintings with very warm reds and yellows, I decided to change things up and go with purple plums. For some reason, I always feel confident painting values with red, but purple throws me for a loop. I think I've conquered it this time.
A side note: I'm starting to realize how my camera loves to portray every flaw in my paintings and take incredibly blurry pictures. This was attempt number 10 to gain a decent photograph of the painting. It's just about time to invest in a new camera.
